To watch

This list is for those of you who prefer learning and growing through watching films. I highly recommend these films for their philosophical meanings as well as overall enjoyment. They vary from a wide range of fiction to non-fiction. Please see film ratings before allowing children to watch as some do include depictions of fighting or violence. None of the movies should be taken literally, only figuratively. Enjoy!

To Read or Listen

As young children, we used to love story telling, reading and learning. We had imaginations and could invent stories from nothing. For those of us who were born in the Millennial generation or older, growing up we were only subject to physical books in school. Watching any video at school was like a dream come true.

As a reader myself, I found that reading books for fun became almost non-existent for some years as I got caught up in the rat race of adulthood. I still yearned for them though and have held on to my most cherished books. Books are knowledge, and knowledge holds power. How we use that power in very important.

But for those who don’t enjoy books, you might be excited to learn about great apps such as iBooks and Audible. They bring the beauty and inspiration of knowledge and learning to a whole other level. I realized later on in life that I favor auditory learning. Since switching to audiobooks, I now get to enjoy the fun of reading without losing my ability to take my eye off the road!

With audio books, we can basically watch a movie with our mind!! We can access our imaginations again and create the images that movies could only dream of capturing. This list again is a wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles that I have enjoyed and would love to share with the world. Imagine that this reading list is like a giant online book club!
