One way to combat excessive Vata is with significantly increasing Sweet, Sour, & Salty tasting foods that are heavy, oily, & heating which can increase the Earth & Fire elements within the mind-body.

This meal plan is best practiced in the cold, dry months of winter. Since Vata is already cold and dry, we practice the law of opposites. We focus on heavily cooked foods that satisfy the light & airy Vata.
